WINNIPEG, MB (December 12, 2023) - Smack Pet Food Inc., a family-owned Manitoba producer of raw, dehydrated cat and dog food with kibble convenience, is proud to announce the donation of 50,000 meals for hungry dogs to Canadian rescue and not-for-profit organizations. This donation carries an approximate MSRP of $100,000.
 

“This holiday season, Smack is humbled to support the local rescue community by providing nutritious meals for dogs in rescue centers, and with foster families. With inflation putting upward pressure on shelter resources, Smack wanted to help alleviate these costs, and ensure that rescue dogs receive healthy, delicious meals while they search for their forever homes,” says Smack co-founder and CEO Jonathon Giller.
 

“We are constantly blown away by the tremendous amount of compassion and hard work put in by selfless volunteers at these organizations, and wanted to contribute our small part to their cause,” echoed co-Founder and President Michael Giller.
 

Smack has carefully selected 11 organizations to be recipients of the donation, recognizing the important work they do in our communities. Recipients include: CB Rescue, D’Arcy’s A.R.C., Free Korean Dogs, Hull’s Haven, K9 Advocates, Manitoba Great Pyrenees Rescue, Manitoba Mutts, Manitoba Underdogs Rescue, MSAR Service Dogs, the Winnipeg Humane Society, and Winnipeg Pet Rescue.
