Smack Pet Food was founded in 2008 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We are a family business devoted to making healthy, practical food for the canine-loving community through the use of common-sense principles.

It all started with our passion for dogs and a desire to find out what is truly best for their body & mind. After several attempts at creating a food that is practical, healthy, and lip-smacking for dogs, we developed our signature recipe.

Our journey has taught us that there is a lot of controversial information out there as to what a dog should eat. Some vets say that a dog should never eat meat or bones and other vets say that a dog should only eat meat and bones. We advocate the common sense approach that dogs should eat a well-rounded, natural diet with a variety of foods rotated into their diet.
